Are you the type of person who saves every ticket stub and flyer you come across? Do you enjoy making keepsakes of fun memories? Are you interested in making a little time for art every day? Join us to learn how to use those paper bits (and so much more) to transform old textbooks into one of a kind junk journals!
In this workshop, we will alter the books, prepare pages for mixed media collage, and layout our cover designs. Cover design will focus on training our eye to find exciting materials in our everyday lives to create unique visual arrangements. You will leave class with a personalized journal that can be enjoyed as a sketchbook, journal, or planner. An array of media, recycled materials, and found objects will be provided for artists to experiment with.
This class will take place at Monster. Our address is 1716 NW Market Street, Seattle, WA 98107. It's at the intersection of 17th and NW Market Street - kitty corner from Mighty-O Donuts.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before class begins.
If you cannot attend class for any reason, we will offer an exchange to another class currently on our schedule up to 48 hours before the class. After that time, no refunds or exchanges are issued out of respect for our teachers who purchase and prepare supplies based on the number of attendees.
