Hooked on Embroidery at Monster in Ballard

I recently took an embroidery class at Monster in Ballard, Seattle, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The class was informative and fun, striking the perfect balance between learning new techniques and enjoying the creative process. The instructor was patient and knowledgeable, making it easy for beginners to follow along. By the end of the session, I was completely hooked on the craft! If you’re looking to pick up a new hobby or refine your skills, I highly recommend checking out Monster’s embroidery classes.

Tufting is like coloring with yarn, but with a power tool. It takes a bit of time to get accustomed to the tufting gun but Rosalie is a great teacher. I really enjoyed it.

Really fun! Tons of random things I didn’t know I needed.

Had a blast! Was able to provide some unused craft supplies a new home and got some things to support my continued craft explorations! 10/10 would do again!

Loved Rosalie's teaching style. It makes sense why she doesn't force students to finish their rug in one session, it's a lot of stress on the hands. Looking forward to going back and finishing my piece.

It was so much fun to choose a project kit and focus on a pretty straightforward but definitely not simple or boring execution! Great pace and instruction to add skills and get to know my machine better in the process. Thank you so much! I'd re-take this class in a heartbeat.

MCreativeJ always brings clear instructions, tips and tricks to learning new stitches and fun applications (check out the the embroidered shoes book!). i highly recommend any of Melissa's classes. She's got great patterns and her kits are the bomb!

I love assembling big things out of tiny things. Whether it's building Lego, assembling a puzzle, or doing cross-stitch, it just feels so satisfying. Mosaic is just like that! It's so satisfying to pull together disparate materials and assemble them into a beautiful piece of artwork. I entered this class as a total newbie and left with a mirror that looks like something I would have paid a whole lot for at a high-end arts festival. Highly recommend!

The dynamic mosaic duo does it again!!!! Had a blast and learned a lot and came home with a fun new piece of “art”.

I love to sign up for an embroidery class and get an extra seat for my friend and give it as a gift!! Plus Melissa is SO great at explaining everything and I have so much fun.
