Join local artist Kayla Ann in this beginner-friendly workshop to create a personalized, hand-crafted block printed card for your friends and loved ones. In this fun and interactive session, Kayla will guide you through the process of block printing, from learning the basics to creating your very own design. Whether you're preparing a special card for Mother's Day or any occasion, this workshop will teach you the essential techniques to bring your creative vision to life. No prior experience needed – just come ready to learn and make something meaningful! Hand and wrist dexterity is required for this class.
Students have the option of borrowing tools during class or purchasing their own block printing kit at check out. Students purchasing a class ticket AND a block printing kit will receive a 20% discount on their block printing kit. Your kit will be available for you to pick up when you check in for your class.
This class will take place at Monster. Our address is 1716 NW Market Street, Seattle, WA 98107. It's at the intersection of 17th and NW Market Street - kitty corner from Mighty-O Donuts.
If you cannot attend class for any reason, we will offer an exchange to another class currently on our schedule up to 48 hours before the class. After that time, no refunds or exchanges are issued out of respect for our teachers who purchase and prepare supplies based on the number of attendees.
Our current Covid protocol is that anyone attending an event can email us at Info@monstermonster.shop to let us know they prefer that people wear masks up to 72 hours before the event begins. Your request is anonymous to all the other participants.
Attendees will receive an email before the class to let them know If we will require masks be worn.

Kayla Ann is a Seattle based artist known for spreading joy through print design, murals, and craft education. Her work is immersed in the magic of the natural world. She weaves her nordic heritage and love of vintage textiles into original designs that speak to nature lovers and nostalgic dreamers alike. Kayla has been leading nordic craft classes for over eight years and is passionate about the preservation and modern application of heritage techniques.
