Bargello is a form of needlepoint embroidery characterized by upright flat stitches arranged in repetitive patterns to produce striking motifs. Bargello originated from a series of 17th-century chairs in Florence's Bargello Palace, which featured the distinctive "flame stitch" pattern. It was re-popularized in the 60's and 70's and is currently gaining popularity again in modern crafting.
In this hands-on session, suitable for both beginners and seasoned crafters, you'll delve into the art of bargello to create a plant pot cover. It's the perfect way to update your porch decor for spring. The photo is a stock photo example of a bargello stitch pattern. We'll update the photos with the actual plant pot covers once the samples are complete.
