  • TUFTING CLASS: Tufted Mirror

    Mirror

You’ve heard about it already but you haven’t tried it so come on over and join us to learn how to make a tufted mirror frame! We’ll have frames, fabric, yarn and tufting guns for you – all you need to bring is the willingness to learn and to have fun.

We will focus on getting comfortable with the gun and the movement. You will design a frame for a mirror, tuft it and finish it with scissors or a carver. You'll learn how to shave your piece evenly, create separation between your colors and bevel carving.

The tufted mirror frame design is up to you but we recommend a simple abstract design that has large shapes and no outlines.

    • Select a round or square mirror at checkout.
      Round is 15"
      Square is 12x12"

    • You will be using a frame that is approximately 30 x 30 inches exterior dimensions and 26x26 working area.

    • We will use acrylic yarn and the cut pile setting on the tufting guns. We will have yarn available for you - but if you would like to use something specific, you are welcome to bring size 4 acrylic yarn.

This class will take place at Monster. Our address is 1716 NW Market Street, Seattle, WA 98107. It's at the intersection of 17th and NW Market Street - kitty corner from Mighty-O Donuts.
