  • TUFTING CLASS: Beginner Tufting - Tufted Mirror

We know! Our tufting classes sell out quickly. If you are available during weekday afternoons, you can book a one-on-one or small group private tufting class for the same price.

It's time to learn to tuft! We'll spend the afternoon shooting yarn out of a gun into fabric to create some amazing tufted mirrors.

We provide frames, fabric, yarn, tufting guns & mirrors for you – all you need to provide is a design for your mirror.

This is a beginner class so we will focus on getting comfortable with the gun and the movement. You will design a frame for a mirror, tuft it and finish it with scissors or a carver. You'll learn how to shave your piece evenly, create separation between your colors and bevel carving.

The tufted mirror frame design is up to you but we recommend a simple abstract design that has large shapes and few outlines for the highest success rate.

    • We will have a variety of sizes and shapes of acrylic mirrors available for you to choose from. If you have something specific in mind - please let us know & we'll do our best to source what you need. If you have a mirror that you would like to use - feel free to bring anything that is 24 inches or smaller. Keep in mind that the larger your mirror - the less room you'll have for tufting.

    • You will be using a frame that is approximately 30 x 30 inches exterior dimensions and 26x26 working area.

    • We will use acrylic yarn and the cut pile setting on the tufting guns. We will have yarn available for you - but if you would like to use something specific, you are welcome to bring size 4 acrylic yarn.

This class will take place at Monster. Our address is 1716 NW Market Street, Seattle, WA 98107. It's at the intersection of 17th and NW Market Street - kitty corner from Mighty-O Donuts.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before class begins.

If you cannot attend class for any reason, we will offer an exchange to another class currently on our schedule up to 48 hours before the class. After that time, no refunds or exchanges are issued out of respect for our teachers who purchase and prepare supplies based on the number of attendees.

Our current Covid protocol is that anyone attending an event can email us at Info@monstermonster.shop to let us know they prefer that people wear masks up to 72 hours before the event begins. Your request is anonymous to all the other participants.

Attendees will receive an email before the class to let them know If we will be requiring masks.
