Make your own adorable mini cactus from a rectangle! This two hour, hands-on workshop will cover some amigurumi basics, including stuffing, using safety eyes, working in the back loop only (BLO), and some basic seaming techniques to make our cactus 3D!
This class works best if you have previous experience crocheting - even if it was a long time ago. If not, don't worry - we'll get you through it, but if you want a better foundation, you should take our Beginner Crochet class.
By the end of the workshop you will feel confident constructing a 3D item from a rectangle as well as using some basic amigurumi techniques.
Each participant will receive a kit with a crochet hook, tapestry needle, stitch markers, mini terra cotta pot, and a surprise color of yarn. I will also provide video instructions for all steps so that you can recreate the project at home, as well as the printed pattern for the cactus.
This class will take place at Monster. Our address is 1716 NW Market Street, Seattle, WA 98107. It's at the intersection of 17th and NW Market Street - kitty corner from Mighty-O Donuts.
