IN PERSON CLASS: Stitch A Pacific Northwest Mountain Landscape Pendant

Please note: We require proof of vaccination to attend class in person. Additionally, we require masks to be worn during the class. If you purchase a ticket and cannot adhere to either of these rules or cannot attend class for any reason, we will offer an exchange to another class on our schedule up to 48 hours before the class. After that time, no refunds or exchanges are issued out of respect for our teachers who purchase and prepare supplies based on the number of attendees.

Calling all pacific northwest lovers! Want to learn how to hand embroider a mountain range landscape pendant? Join Melissa Galbraith of MCreativeJ for a 2-hour workshop. This hands-on experience includes all the materials you’ll need to create a beautiful hand embroidered pendant. The workshop covers beginner friendly embroidery stitches such as the satin stitch, back stitch, reverse chain stitch, and long and short satin stitch. Each attendee will receive a full kit that includes a silver oval pendant setting, full skeins of DMC embroidery floss, an embroidery hoop, blue fabric, printed instructions, and an embroidery needle.

This in-person class will take place at Monster, 1716 NW Market St., on February 9th starting at 6:30 PM.

Please arrive about 15 minutes before class begins.

Class attendees receive a 20% discount on any same-day purchases at Monster (excluding original art, gift cards and class tickets).

About the Instructor

Melissa Galbraith is the fiber artist behind MCreativeJ. She was born and raised in the desert of Washington state, where her mother instilled a love of making things by hand at an early age. Drawing on her love of nature, Melissa creates whimsical and modern embroidery patterns and kits. She loves sharing how anyone can embroider with her embroidery kits, patterns, and virtual workshops.

Melissa was reintroduced to hand embroidery after finding her desk job monotonous and needing a creative outlet. She loves that embroidery allows her to play with texture and color and is also a portable craft. Along the way, many crafty minded makers also wanted to learn how to embroider too but were daunted by where to start. So Melissa began to share her embroidery knowledge.

Melissa's embroidery kits and patterns make it easy to learn a new craft for makers of all skill levels. She loves seeing makers fall in love with the needle arts and seeing that magical ah-ha moment of learning something new.
